Making the unknown in the well-known sauna culture known
Almost everyone has heard of the sauna, yet its history, tradition and meaning are surprisingly unknown. Since 1988 there has therefore been an academy in Sweden tasked with spreading knowledge of what good sauna culture is — neutral on politics and religion, open to everyone who loves the hot steam.

Every year sauna friends gather in Kukkolaforsen for National Sauna Day, alongside the academy's annual meeting. Bathing, sauna whisks, music and fellowship by the border river.
