National Sauna Day
Every year Kukkolaforsen fills with sauna bathing, whisks, music and fellowship as we celebrate National Sauna Day. See you again on the second Saturday of June 2027. The programme and registration will be published ahead of summer.

Sauna Day 2025
The National Sauna Day 2025 and the Annual Meeting of the Swedish Sauna Academy. A record in the village sauna, a TV architect new to the board and the inauguration of the new smoke sauna – these were some of the ingredients of the celebration in the sauna village at Kukkolaforsen.

The 27th National Sauna Day 2024. Programme for a long sauna weekend at Kukkolaforsen, 6–9 June 2024.
- Sauna Day 2023
The National Sauna Day 2023 set another record, with 93 registered and 91 attending. The National Sauna Day was celebrated for the 26th time.

The 24th National Sauna Day 2021 was moved to Saturday 14 August with a programme spanning the whole weekend. The number of participants was limited to a maximum of 50 in line with the Public Health Agency's recommendations.

The 23rd National Sauna Day 2020. When this was written we didn't quite know how things would turn out – it depended on the spread of infection. We followed the Public Health Agency's advice and recommendations.

How we celebrateThe 2026 programme
The 29th National Sauna Day was celebrated at Kukkolaforsen on 12–14 June 2026. The programme shows what the weekend looks like, from sauna council training and salmon netting to sauna bathing until the sun comes up.
